In the Beginning was the Pen

I am learning a new language. It is going pretty well so far, but when I watch local TV I realise how much more there is to learn.

I use a well known Good Book to practice reading, so it was with as much solemnity and presence as I could squash in to my voice that I began:

"In the beginning was the Pen, and the Pen was with God, and the Pen was God."

My teacher, who hasn't read this book before looked a little dumbfounded and asked if I was sure I got it right.

This just one of many such mistakes. I often say 'cow' when I mean 'went', I accidently said my Grandfather was evil and still can't quite distinguish 'big' from 'turn'. I struggle on.

More later.
